Great times @ Pioneer Con in Birmingham, AL!!

WHAT AN AWESOME TIME!! This October has been a particularly wonderful time for us at Believe In Wonder. We've recently settled into our new home in Beaverton, OR, just minutes outside of Portland. We are living in a beautiful community of foster/adopt families and elders, and excited about the future. Earlier this year I was asked to be the keynote speaker at a book/art/comics event in Birmingham, AL, and this month found me traveling there for a week of sights, friends, and creativity. I hope the attendees got as much from the experience as I did. It was great to talk about the work we are doing, my continued journey through the world of publishing, and sharing my love and creativity with other makers all over the country. Sold some books, some art, and made a lot of new friends. Thanks to Katherine Boyer (my benefactor at Jefferson Community College) and my longtime friend, filmaker Kyle Sullivan, for a wonderful trip.
