Ursula K. Le Guin, my literary luminary and the inspiration for generations of storytellers, passed yesterday. I wanted to write something profound about what her work meant to me, but I couldn’t find the words.
What started off as just something to pass the time over the holidays (and let's be real, a way to avoid the stress) turned into a series of illustrations an imagined characters that I never could have expected. I would post them to Facebook with the hashtag #FancyDressedAnimals, and the response was so uplifting and supportive. I couldn't help be keep drawing, each one becoming more elaborate and full of personality. In the end I had 25 total pencil illustrations, and I thought, "This should be book!" So here it is! Fancy Dressed Animals is now available on Amazon - grab it and enjoy a little whimsy and creative fun. :) #BelieveInWonder
