What a big week! The culmination of a semester’s worth of toil and sweat. Well, to be completely honest, it wasn't really toil – it was fun. I had high hopes that grad school would give the chance to really enjoy learning new things, and it has come through in spades.
Thursday was the big day this week. It was the day that I had been working towards. I almost had an asthma attack walking to the bookstore to pick up my printed copy of Around the World in 80 Days that I had designed, which turned out pretty good considering there are eight major mistakes in it (page artifacts from the layout that I couldn’t see on in the InDesign file or on my PDF.) Oh well. My essay, Wonder By Design, got a good grade. :) Lastly we did our presentations for YA Publishing, but one of our team members didn’t show up. I felt confident in the work we presented, my other teammate did a great job on her marketing plan, and I know I did my best on the designs. In the end, that’s all you do – do your very best.
